WHAT KEEPS A PERSON FROM VOTING TWICE BY GOING TO DIFFERENT VOTE CENTER?

Each Vote Center is equipped with an electronic poll book which is connected in real time to other Vote Centers through a secure, dedicated network. When a voter casts a vote at one voter center, his/her voter history is immediately updated at every voter center  in Chaffee County. If he/she attempts to vote at another voter center, the electronic poll book will inform the election judge there that the person has already voted.

CAN ANYONE IN THE STATE OF COLORADO VOTE AT A CHAFFEE COUNTY VOTER CENTER?

No. In Colorado, voters must still vote in the county in which they are registered. Only voters registered to vote in Chaffee County may vote at a voter center place in Chaffee County. Voters registered in another county still have to vote in their county.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS ON ELECTION DAY?

Office hours and vote center hours are from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm.

I CANNOT MAKE IT TO A VOTE CENTER ON ELECTION DAY. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

You may request a mail-in (formerly absentee) ballot and vote by mail, or you may vote early in the days prior to Election Day.
